Nicole Bernier

Of Counsel

Nicole is an experienced corporate lawyer advising public and private companies at all stages of development on mergers and acquisitions, securities law, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and other general corporate matters.

Nicole’s desire to pursue a career in corporate law was sparked by a business law course in college, where she double majored in Finance and International Business.  She then went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in New York.  During law school, she participated in the International and Comparative Business Law program at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany, gaining a unique global perspective on transactional law.  In addition, Nicole was a summer associate at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, an Am Law 100 firm and the oldest firm in New York City, where she was promptly hired to return upon graduation as a full-time associate.

While an associate at Cadwalader, she was immersed in the world of complex M&A and securities deals, both domestic and international, in the pharmaceutical, medical technology, and other industries.  Later she joined the corporate group at Meister Seelig & Fein LLP, where she continued to grow as a well-rounded business attorney, guiding clients through transactional and day-to-day legal and compliance matters.

Capitalizing on her background and experience, Nicole provides accessible legal services steeped in “big law” firm training.  Her main focus is delivering practical guidance to help clients reach their desired business goals.

Nicole was also a Teaching Assistant in law school and served on the board of Fordham’s student-run housing advocacy program.  In addition, she has worked as a pro bono attorney with various organizations, including the Safe Passage Project and LatinoJustice PRLDEF.  Nicole is a certified yoga teacher and enjoys baking, oil painting, and travel.
