Founder / Managing Member

Trevor is a business attorney with nearly 20 years of transactional legal experience, primarily within the healthcare industry. Trevor focuses his practice on business transactions and providing corporate clients with outside general counsel services. Trevor has perspective of both being a partner in a large law firm (as a mergers and acquisitions specialist) as well as a client of legal services as an in-house General Counsel.

Trevor’s interest in law began the summer before 9-11 when he interned for the U.S. State Department, based out of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan. On behalf of the Anti-Fraud Unit of the Consular Division, Trevor was tasked with leading investigations throughout Pakistan of individuals suspected of providing fraudulent documentation to the embassy in order to obtain visas to the U.S.

Trevor attended law school at Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was a member of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law and Moot Court Board. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, Trevor continued his law school education at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

After law school, Trevor practiced at large law firms in Birmingham, Alabama and Cleveland, Ohio as his wife completed her medical training at the Cleveland Clinic. From day one, Trevor specialized in transactional corporate law, specifically mergers and acquisitions, for private equity and healthcare clients. While in Cleveland, Trevor earned his MBA from Case Western Reserve University. In 2012, Trevor moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he became a Partner in the Corporate Group of Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis (now Holland & Knight).

Trevor was later recruited by a client to move in-house as Senior Vice President – General Counsel. As a member of the executive team of Episode Solutions, LLC, Trevor helped the nationwide healthcare company build a risk-based program focused on the transition of fee for service care to value-based bundles. Primarily engaged in the BPCI-Advanced program offered by the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), Trevor played an integral role in the company’s growth. During Trevor’s tenure at the company, he managed all types of legal affairs affecting the company.

Seeking to fill a gap of high quality, business-oriented and practical transactional and outside general counsel legal services at a reasonable rate, Trevor started Tailwinds Business Law, PLLC.

Trevor has been fortunate to have lived in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, and studied and traveled across Africa, Middle East, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. Trevor attributes these experiences (along with being the father of three sons) with providing him with perspective and the ability to adapt and work with others from all types of backgrounds and values.

Trevor is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tennessee chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and was named 2016 Man of the Year and 2022 All Star Man of the Year. Trevor is an IRONMAN triathlete.
